The big blue and Kastellorizo

Gradually, all the politicians of Greece agree that something should be done with the Greek EEZ and not miss this big blue. Of course, it would be  good, now that there are no meaningless confrontations over the issue and the role of Professor Kariotis is formally recognized,  to proceed with a correct implementation, not just adoption, but also practical and dynamic beginning of negotiations with the countries that touch the Greek EEZ. Moreover, since this stage is now acquis in the political arena, we should deal more with the island of Kastellorizo, thanks to which the Greek EEZ is so big.

And in this context we should be careful with the entire complex of Kastellorizo ​​with Ro and Stroggyli included. Here it is important to ensure that the limits of Greek EEZ have correct positioning in all institutions dealing with this issue at international level. Otherwise, if this is considered a detail, the negotiations can be difficult for this reason. Practically, there should be an investigation, even on the internet and an official position of the Ministry to effectively overcome these technical hurdles. The level of economic activity should be reinforced throughout the complex. In this case Cyprus is not an adequate example. It is preferable to highlight the model of France and its islands on the Pacific, and Indian Ocean. To keep our endless blue we must give emphasis and importance to our remote border islands. At these islands small changes in the corners of the Greek EEZ, have a huge impact on long distances and especially at triple points of contact. We already know the impact on the triple point between Egypt – Greece – Cyprus from the revelations regarding the negotiations between Egypt and Cyprus.






But Kastellorizo ​​and more specifically its cluster of islands, affects the triple point of Greece – Cyprus – Turkey, which can be altered so much, if you we do not show proper care, that will allow the contact of Egypt and Turkey. Geo-economically, for the European Union, not only for Greece, it is important not just the existence of the Greek EEZ, but also any mutilation, that would no more allow the coherence of the European EEZ at the point where the EEZ of Greece and Cyprus meet. And it is because of the existence of the cluster of Kastellorizo that this can happen. In other words, the issue is not just to have Greek EEZ, but to have the appropriate size in relation to the international law. That’s why now, let’s listen carefully to our own people, while everyone agrees on the Greek EEZ, if they indeed speak systematically for the cluster of Kastellorizo​​, because here is the essence.

    Greece needs an honest leader that will take the case straight to the international courts once and for all and be done with these backdoor schemers that negotiate with Turks in the name of relationship stability. Giving up your sovereign righst as a nation to your own legal water borders in the name of good faith relations with your neighbor is the dumbest thing these new world order Greek political sellout eunics are promoting and sounds very suspicious to me.
