Turkish challenge off Cyprus: illegal exercise.

Empty threats by Erdogan continue! After the new American blow yesterday in New York, Ankara being irritated, proceeded to a further challenge.

Turkey issued a NOTAM informing about an ​​aeronautical exercise south of Cyprus inside the Nicosia FIR. The NOTAM was rejected, but Ankara ignoring any sense of legitimacy, sent a corvette, a frigate and eight F-16 in the region.

The exercise lasted two hours and afterwards aircraft and vessels departed. The closest they got to Noble Energy’s rig was 50 nautical miles! Not daring to do anything more. That’s why we talk about empty threats.

Yesterday in New York, the Turkish Foreign Ministry took the message from Hillary Clinton and it was disappointing: “The United States supports Cyprus’s right to explore for energy”, said once again the U.S. Secretary.

After that, a spasmodic reaction of Ankara followed with the exercise south of Cyprus.

    The era of the Cold War is over , Russia has to come closer to the West because the threat is common with them and the threats come from ……others!!!!!

    What about sending some Navy and Air Force close to their borders north of Cyprus and test them the same way and lets see how they will react, because that is what they are asking for reaction, instead lets act all three together.
