THE CHIEF/HNDGS ATTENDED A CO-TRAINING EXERCISE OF HELLENIC – US SPECIAL FORCES (UPDATED)

New photos from the joint exercise were released by the American side. The US participation involved a USN MH-60S Sea Hawk helicopter of the  Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 28, based in Naples and men of the US Special Boat Team, Naval Special Warfare.

On Friday, 10 February 2012, the Chief/HNDGS, General Mikhail Kostarakos, accompanied by the Fleet Commander, Rear Admiral Konstantinos Mazarakis-Ainian (HN), visited the area of Megara Gulf to attend part of a joint exercise of Hellenic and US Special Forces Units.

The exercise was conducted in the context of co-training of the Hellenic and the US Special Forces, aiming at the improvement of the level of cooperation.
